On February 28, 1999 Kathleen and I purchased Clara, a pure-bred Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Clara was 7 weeks old when we first met her. Cardigan Welsh Corgis were bred as herding dogs for cattle. They are highly intelligent, gregarious, and very receptive to training. We are enjoying having a new puppy around the house. She is a joy.
