Project: Electronic Animated Listening Maps for the Spotlight on Music Curriculum
Medium: CD-ROM for Windows and Macintosh
Client and Date: Macmillan (2005)
Technologies Employed: Flash with ActionScript for audio and animation
Description:
The Spotlight on Music curriculum for K-12 music study is one of the most popular curriculums on the market. Macmillan hired us to produce electronic versions of the printed listening maps students use to learn the structure of famous works of music. We created a series of 6 CD-ROMs for grades 1 through 6. Each CD-ROM contained three animated listening maps as well as the complete collection of printed listening maps in PDF format. The animations featured beat level synchronization with the music combined with entertaining images and motion. We also produced the shell interface to launch the Flash animations and PDF files.
